This new collection of work was painted recently in the Old Forge region of the Adirondack Park. I spent time exploring new areas of the Park and found some very interesting subject matter. The Moose River provides an intriguing mix of “black” water with rapids and the unmistakable boulders strewn throughout. Old Forge itself is an engaging mix of architecture past and present. I’ve included one image above of the functioning train station “Thendara.”
These and other new paintings from the region are available at Gallery 3040 in Old Forge. I will be there this Friday August 26th from 3:30 till close giving a talk, demonstration, and generally having a good time; would love to see you there.
